WConsole

Since WConsole is already integrated in Novel® NetWare® networking solution in versions 5 and later named as RConsoleJ, we have decided to discontinue any further development of WConsole and withdraw the application from marketing.

Product support for WConsole still continues to be available on support@cscare.com.

WConsole is the application for controlling Novell NetWare file server console from a Java Virtual Machine (VM) environment.

The goal is to provide the original Novell's RConsole functionality to any Java enabled network node (Windows, Unix, Mac,...) using the TCP/IP communication protocol. Or control the server console directly from a web browser, embedding the client part as a Java applet. It is used also in the NetWare 5 Java graphical screen to provide window access to all other standard NLM screens. Further, an interface to open multiple server screens in separate windows is provided.

There is also the Proxy module enabling control of IPX only (without the TCP/IP protocol) server consoles, solving TCP/IP firewall issues and Java applet security limitation.
